  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until thick and pale.
  3. Sift cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl; fold into the egg mixture until just combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until springy.
  5. While warm, roll the cake in a powdered sugar-dusted towel. Let cool completely.
  6. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form; fold in chocolate hazelnut spread and chopped hazelnuts.
  7. Unroll the cooled cake, spread filling evenly, and reroll without the towel.
  8. Frost with more whipped cream or chocolate spread, garnish with extra chopped hazelnuts if desired.
