  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, chicken, or turkey)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cabbage Leaves: Boil water in a large pot. Blanch the cabbage leaves for 2 minutes until soft yet firm. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix ground meat with garlic, onion, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Assemble the Dumplings: Place about 2 tablespoons of filling at the base of a cabbage leaf. Fold in the sides and roll tightly like a burrito. Repeat with remaining filling.
  4. Cook the Dumplings: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange dumplings seam-side down in a greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Crisp Them Up: Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
