  1. In a medium bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt until smooth.
  3. Add olive oil and basil to the yeast mixture; stir gently.
  4. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients, mixing until shaggy dough forms.
  5. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  7. Punch down the dough; gently fold in cherry tomatoes. Shape into a loaf or ball.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place on parchment-lined baking sheet; let rest for 10 minutes before baking for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
