Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos (about 10 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Mix in melted butter, salt, and cocoa powder. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  3. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle about half an inch thick. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, and crushed Oreos evenly.
  4. Roll tightly into a log shape and slice into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. While cooling slightly, mix powdered sugar with milk to create frosting and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
