Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and combine on low speed.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft. Let cool slightly before serving.
