Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for coating)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (plus extra for coating)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and sugar until combined.
  3. In another bowl, melt the butter and mix in the milk. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Using a cookie scoop, portion out small mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. While baking, mix additional sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Once baked and slightly cooled, roll each churro bite in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
