Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the breakfast sausage until fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup flour and cook for one minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth; season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; let thicken.
  4. Layer the biscuits in the prepared baking dish, pour half the gravy over them, sprinkle with cheese, add another layer of biscuits, and top with remaining gravy.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Serve hot.
