Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in olive oil and salt.
  2. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread pesto and sprinkle mozzarella over the surface.
  5. Cut into strips lengthwise, braid them together, and transfer to a lined baking sheet.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
