  • 8 oz penne or rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. In the pot with drained pasta, combine marinara sauce, half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, and sautéed garlic.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with remaining cheeses.
  6. Broil for about 5 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
