  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Marinate the chicken: In a large bowl, cover chicken pieces with buttermilk and sprinkle with salt. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  2. 2. Prepare the spice mixture: In another bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and additional salt.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. 4. Coat the chicken: Remove chicken from buttermilk; let excess drip off. Dredge in the spice mixture until fully coated.
  5. 5. Add panko breadcrumbs: Roll coated chicken in panko crumbs and place them on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil if desired.
