Homemade Meatballs are the perfect blend of juicy beef and savory spices, creating a comforting dish that brings family and friends together.

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and egg until just combined.
  3. Roll into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  5. While baking, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat; sauté onions until translucent. Add crushed tomatoes and oregano; simmer for flavor.
  6. Add baked meatballs to the sauce and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
