  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper, then place them in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, minced garlic, dried herbs, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. While baking, bring a pot of salted water to boil and cook orzo according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Drain orzo and add it to the baking dish with the chicken. Toss gently to combine.
