  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 6 oz pepperoni slices
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 cup diced onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta in boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat, then add bell peppers and onions; sauté until tender.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat mixture, pepperoni slices, and pizza sauce. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
