  • 10 oz tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (1 cup cheddar, 1 cup Monterey Jack)
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 jalapeños, sliced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey; drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning.
  3. Spread tortilla chips evenly on the prepared baking sheet and layer half of the cheese on top.
  4. Add seasoned meat and black beans, followed by the remaining cheese and jalapeños.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and garnish with sour cream and green onions before serving.
