  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups short-grain rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast and cut into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté sliced onions in oil until soft. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
  3. Transfer seasoned beef to a slow cooker. Layer sautéed onions and mushrooms on top along with chopped carrots. Pour in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
  4. Cover and set the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, cook short-grain rice according to package instructions.
