  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the egg and milk together. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; some lumps are okay.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour about 1/3 cup batter per pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form (2-3 minutes), flip and cook until golden brown (1 minute).
  3. In a separate skillet over medium-high heat, shape ground beef into small patties, season with salt and pepper, and smash them down with a spatula to about 1/2 inch thick. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Stack one pancake followed by a burger patty on a plate; repeat as desired. Drizzle with maple syrup or serve on the side.
