Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized dough into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press your thumb into each ball to create an indentation.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, then fill each thumbprint with chocolate chips and return to the oven for an additional 2 minutes.
