  • Heat a large pot over medium heat. Once hot, add the ground beef, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. Stir until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms, diced onion, and minced garlic to the beef. Cook until the mushrooms release their moisture and the onion becomes soft, approximately 5-6 minutes.
  • Pour in the beef broth, and mix in the dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine all the flavorful ingredients into a delectable mixture.
  • Let the soup simmer for about 20 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully while making the mushrooms tender.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and continue cooking on low heat for an additional 5 minutes.
