For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces Pasta Penne or fusilli recommended

For the Meat Sauce

  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Lamb or plant-based meat substitute
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika (sweet)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional, adjust for spice

For the Yogurt Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt full-fat recommended
  • 1/2 medium Lemon Juice freshly squeezed

For the Paprika Butter

  • 3 tablespoons Butter unsalted

Directions

  • Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt with minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Let rest.
  • Sauté chopped onion over medium heat until translucent, then add minced garlic and ground meat. Cook until browned, 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato paste, paprika, salt, and pepper; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat and stir in paprika and red pepper flakes.
  • Layer cooked pasta, yogurt sauce, meat mixture, and drizzle with paprika butter. Serve warm.

Notes

Optional to garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or mint for extra flavor.
