Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs Bone-in and skin-on for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For searing.

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt Can substitute with garlic powder.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup Apricot Preserves Opt for quality preserves.
  • 1/2 cup French Dressing
  • 1 packet Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce Jellied or whole berry.
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Frozen Cranberries Can substitute with fresh.

For Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons Parsley Chopped, optional.

Preparation Steps

  • Melt the Butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the Chicken with garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Sear the Chicken skin-side down until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl: apricot preserves, French dressing, dry onion soup mix, cranberry sauce, and brown sugar.
  • Transfer the seared chicken to the crockpot and pour the sauce over it, adding frozen cranberries.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours until chicken is tender.
  • Garnish with parsley before serving.
